ELDOA & Myofascial Stretching

ELDOA and Myofascial Stretching are two of the most effective techniques to relieve back and neck pain. In this class, students practice ELDOA postures and myofascial stretches that improve your flexibility and allow for greater muscular strength.

What is ELDOA?  It is a collection of precise postures that decoapt specific segments of the spine.

Each ELDOA posture addresses a different body part and issues that may exist there. In class we may focus on ELDOAs for the lumbar, thoracic, or cervical spine.  Mark teaches custom ELDOA postures to address the specific needs of his students, so Mark may also incorporate ELDOAs for the hip joint or other body parts.

What is Myofascial Stretching?  A method of stretching the muscle and the fascia that encase the muscles.  It is different than other methods of stretching that only focus on the muscles because it also focuses on stretching the fascia.  If you only stretch the muscle, then your flexibility is limited by the fascia that encapsulates it.  Myofascial stretching results in greater flexibility of the muscle and more freedom of the joint involved.
