Corrective Exercise

In private training sessions, we motivate and lead you through corrective exercises for a safe workout focused on your needs. Our approach to correcting imbalances and injuries includes a complete body analysis where your body structure and function is assessed.

Structural imbalances in the body cause functional variations in body activity. At the same time, function affects structure as well.

After the initial assessment, you’ll be guided through customized exercises based on your health, mobility, strength, and wellness goals. You get the most out of your session as your trainer’s attention to detail helps you safely progress towards healthy body function AND structure.

Methods used to restore function and structure include:

  • Eldoas: active “decoaptation” stretches for the spine or other targeted joint structures
  • Myofascial Stretching: specific stretching of the muscle and its fascia,  the muscle sheath
  • Global Postural Stretching: postures that allow a perfect linking of the joint, the muscle, and their fascia
  • Segmental Strengthening: precise exercises that target certain muscles or specific parts of muscles
  • Proprioception: exercises that retrain the body’s ability to sense itself or know where body parts are in space.
  • Awareness: training the brain to become acquainted with and recognize specific areas of the body
  • Global Movements: squats, lunges, dead lifts, etc.
